Teens may benefit from therapy if they are experiencing symptoms such as prolonged sadness, anxiety, changes in behavior, or a decline in academic performance. However, every teen is different and after scheduling a free consultation, we can discuss more and tailor our sessions to your teen’s unique needs.

I encourage every parent or guardian to attend the initial assessment session to provide information that can be beneficial to our sessions. Parents and guardians are allowed to attend sessions as needed, but I leave it up to the teen to make that decision. Some parents attend the first two sessions and join as needed.

The duration of therapy varies based on individual needs. Some teens may see improvements in a few sessions, while others may require more extended support. We will work together to determine the best plan of action.

It varies, this is decided after our initial assessment. I recommend weekly sessions to get started and drop to bi-weekly sessions, but every client has unique needs and circumstances and some clients start right away with bi-weekly sessions.
